1994 to present: In succeeding order, Cal West, ETD, Aramark and, most recently, Anderson Newsgroup(Retail Merchandiser) (Note: as companies lost contracts and/or were bought out, over a 4 year period, I remained in my position, the main store I serviced being a Regional Headquarters Luckys Market.)
Verify counts of magazine and book delivery to markets,
replace old merchandise with current, replenish and/or reorder as needed, and neaten checkstand areas and
the magazine aisle. Construct and display special promotions.
Work closely with receivers, verifying and packaging product,
and tallying totals.
1994 to March,1999: WalMart (Retail Merchandiser)
Service Ambassador & Expressions (Hallmark) product displays in store, including
restocking, cleaning, straightening, relocating, reordering, and displaying new
product.
1994 to 1996: A.T.A. (Retail Merchandiser)
Deliver products, service them (display attractively on
clipstrips, J-hooks, and power strips), order merchandise, repair or
credit when necessary. Maintain inventory count and make changes to
action plan and inventory levels when necessary. Work with receivers
and managers to see that merchandise is properly and favorably
displayed.
1994 to 1995: Ambassador Cards (Retail Merchandiser)
Service displays in stores, including straightening, cleaning,
relocating, reordering, and displaying new product. Interface with
store personnel.
1993 to 1994: Stec Marketing (Comparison Shopper)
Comparison shopped on behalf of supermarket chain. Duties
included pricing, purchasing and restocking of grocery items,
comparing prices, quantities and UPC's, and making radio
commercials.
1983 to 1993:0 Hayward School District (GATE advocate)
Performed volunteer duties in support of Gifted And Talented
Education (GATE) including Chairman of GATE Parent Advisory
Committee, Parent Liaison and board member of NORCAL,
member of GATE Task Force to develop 5 year plan and member
of California Association for the Gifted. Campaign staff for school
board election.
